@@@The anisotropy of carbon fiber@reinforced composite(CFRP) is very
large. In practice, cross-ply laminates are commonly used. So, it is important
to pay attention not only to axial (tensile) properties, but also to off-axial
properties.
In case of carbon fiber and CFRP production, optimization of off-axial
properties can be designed by carbon fiber surface status and carbon fiber-resign
compatibility.

Recently, attention to off-axial behavior has become important to ensure
good balance of composite performance. In this regard we consider parameters
such as ; 90‹strength, EDS (edge delamination), OHC (open hole compression),
and CAI (compression after impact) are key criteria (Table 4-1). |
